Google Play – old store new look

We are paying a lot of attention to Android since Google IO 2014 and try to be up to date with all new things. One of those things is Google’s Material Design. Android Developers Blog post reveals more information about it.

In our opinion it looks really nice and intuitive. App users have the most valuable data „on top”, drawn on a card-looking layout. It’s easy to navigate through views as well. Generally, the interface became less obscure and more content-oriented.

As Android user you’ve probably noticed Google’s Play new look. See the screenshot below if not 😉

Here you can see the promo video. If it’s absent, the promo graphic will be shown instead. In case there is no promo at all, empty space will be substituted with app’s icon and title. Clever, huh? You can experience many clickable areas like app’s opinions, description, feedback, developer’s info and others.

Yet another “switch” widget…

Hello everybody!

Today’s post will be short. I just wanted to announce my new very simple widget – WiFi Switch Widget. Basically this is just a half of my previous widget – WiFi & Mobile Data Switch.

Answering the question Why?, I’d say Sometimes there is no need for Mobile Data switch, for example not all tablets have 3G module. This is one possible answer. Another one is that I did it for myself. Yes, there are plenty of similar widgets/apps, but I wanted to have my very own too ^^

Do I really think it’s useful? Not as much as my previous apps. Will it find its users? I don’t know. I hope so 🙂

WiFi & Mobile Data Switch Widget

Hi, guys!

It’s been a long time since my last post 🙂 Nevertheless, I wanted to write about my first Android widget that I have published on Google Play. It’s called WiFi & Mobile Data Switch Widget and it does exactly what the title suggests – switches WiFi & MD ON or OFF. It is very useful as you have both of these actions in one place and don’t need two widgets or, what is even worse, jump to Settings.

What are the advantages of such widget? First of all, you see what is the state of WiFi and Mobile data at a current time. Second, you have a better control of connections and a very convenient one, – the widget is available on Lockscreen as well! Finally, turning WiFi or MD only when you need it and without even unlocking your phone/tablet, saves a battery life and this is a big plus! 😉

Give this widget a try and it will serve you well.

Turn Me Off – Android util app

Hello, everybody!

Today I want to present my new app – Turn Me Off.
It enables you, as Android programmer or tester, to easily test internet disconnects and properly handle them in your own application. You can set different minute intervals (from 1 to 60) and precise time for Wi-Fi and Mobile Data ON/OFFs.

For more info, please read the Description or Help.

P.S. I’m thinking about a “seconds interval” because 1 minute is quite a looong time for a mobile world, so stay tuned – there will be update soon! 😉
